Familiar, but different is the best way to describe the
Fret-King Esprit V which has individuality and attitude
to spare.
Constructed from korina, a timber first used in guitar building
in the 50’s, and which has a grain structure similar in
nature to mahogany, but lighter and more vibrant, this classic
tonewood is the natural choice for
the Fret-King Esprit V.
With a traditional three-piece 4” centre-section body,
2 degree neck rake, 22 fret, 25 1/2 “scale one-piece
set-neck with 12” radius rosewood fingerboard, and 8 degree
angled back reversed six-in-line peghead, the Esprit V has unsurpassed
tonal transfer and natural tone.
Loaded with twin Fret-King custom wound PAF-style
humbuckers, the Esprit V has a combination of 3-way toggle, master
volume, master tone, and the Wilkinson ‘Vari-coil™’
control which rolls full humbuckers down to true single coils,
with all the sounds in-between, providing a massive range of very
useable sounds.
