Martin J. Andersen is the guitar player and singer of the Danish power trio Blindstone.
The band has released 3 albums on american label Grooveyard Records, and is currently working on album no. 4, to be released in early 2012. Stylistically, the band is influenced by artists like Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, Frank Marino, Black Sabbath, Funkadelic, and newer bands such as Audioslave, King's X and Tennessee Blues-Rock phenomenon Eric Gales.

Martin is known as an explosive, yet emotionally charged and expressive guitarist, with great technical command over his instrument, and as an outrageous performer and showman.

Apart from working with his own band, he has recorded and/or performed with names such as George Clinton, Billy Preston, Bobby Womack, Europe-guitarist John Norum, Ty Tabor of King's X, Snoop Dogg producers Battlecat and Meech Wells, and many others, and has appeared on albums also featuring artists as diverse as Prince, Jazze Pha, Del the Funky Homosapien, Rusty Burns (Point Blank), Rough Cutt / Quiet Riot-vocalist Paul Shortino, etc... Those familiar with the Danish music scene will recognise names like superstar dj Kato, guitarist extraordinaire Poul Halberg etc., from Martin's resumé. Although Martin is known primarily as a rock guitarist, he also held the spot as the guitar player in the award nominated remix-project Funk Royal, showing his impressive funk rhythm-chops on several chart-topping remixes.

As a session player, Martin has proven his versatility by appearing on anything from Children's records, to Electronica, to just about the heaviest Metal imaginable.

Martin knows quality when he sees it, which is why he has chosen Vintage and Fret-King guitars as his instruments of choice.

The 2 humbuckers (which can be rolled back to single coils) combined with the P-90 in the middle, make it a very sonically versatile guitar, which is something I need, both in my work with Blindstone, and when playing on sessions.
