Corona 60/60.

I have always liked the concept of narrow field humbuckers that be situated in a standard single coil
pickguard.
But their sound can sometimes
seem like a compromise of those two
defined pickup types, especially in the
bridge position.
However, they do address the inherent
'noise' problems of true single coils which
may be an issue for some players.

It really is a matter of personal preference.

I decided to do a bit of experimenting and
finally came up with a modified pickup winding
and polepiece combination which gave me
the sound I was looking for.

Hence the Corona 60/60 you see here.

The body is classic American alder with
a vintage two-tone burst finish, coupled with
a maple/rosewood 60's profile neck.

A Vintique gold headstock finish matches
the similarly Vintique-finished pickguard
and pickups.

The guitar is also fitted with my 'Vari-coil' pickup
option designed to gradually roll a humbucker
into a brighter-sounding single coil mode.
